Injustice: Year Two #18 Review

Back to Basics

Last issue Mogo turned the sky green.  Harley might have thought it looked pretty, but I'm sure the Sinestro Corps would have a different opinion.  If they were alive, that is.  This week opens with a rundown of the devastation. Superman, Sinestro and Hal Jordan survived, but many weren't so lucky.

Tom Taylor is back to his old ways.  Explosions, action, fighting and Harley Quinn in her old outfit.  It's great to be back.  I'd say this is like Year One, but it's better.  The craziness has more substance after the character building and tension of Year Two.  The two show stealers this issue are Harley (no surprise there) and Catwoman.  Two strong ladies leading the way for Team Batman.

The big shocker is the reveal of the mole inside Team Superman.  He shows himself to James Gordon in a way that can't be ignored. It's so awesome. The two then head off to take the fight to the Watchtower itself.

Tom Taylor gives the reader a taste of the Year One craziness mixed with the great characters of Year Two and it's a great mix.  I don't see things quieting down soon so we can look forward to more issues like this in the weeks to come.  I'm so excited and can't wait.

Bruno Redondo is back and I am so glad.  He makes everything look great and is a main reason I fell in love with this book in the first place.  Don't leave us again, Bruno.

Bits and Pieces:

Injustice: Year Two #18  has action, explosions, humor, great art and a shocking reveal.  The War is on and Taylor and Redondo are nailing it.  I can't wait for next week.  Highly Recommended.
