STARRING HEROES FROM CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS! With their heavy hitters sidelined, Elongated Man must lead the much-maligned “Detroit Justice League” against the overwhelming power of the heroes from the Tangent Universe!

Holy shit, it's Justice League Detroit and if that's not enough awesomeness and nostalgia to get you hyped for this book............ well, then there's also the Tangent Universe, but I have to admit that when the Tangent stuff came out, I had forsaken my love for comics in my attempts to............ How do I put this?........ Oh yeah, to get laid.  So I'm going to have to do some homework before Convergence gets started so I can wrap my head around the Tangent Universe......... Besides for my not knowing nonsense, I'm totally looking forward to seeing Justice League Detroit again.

  1. Having picked up the Tangent books back when I saw the Multiversity guidebook, im really looking forward to this. Tangent had some rather loopy takes on some heroes (and some kinda boring takes on others) I hope they find a way to work in Tangent Joker, who was a real hoot.

    1. If you have time, what were your top Tangent stories?

    2. Lets see...Each Tangent comics story only ran for an issue or two, so their not really runs so much as standalones. That said,
      1. The Joker (About a superhero anarchist who fights crime. Its awesome.)
      2. Green Lantern. (About a woman who travels the world giving the dead one day to return to the land of the living so they may resolve unfinish business. Its an anthology type thing.)
      3. The Flash (About a living hologram who fights crime. Its very upbeat.)
      4. Secret Six (Tangent Universes equivelent to the Justice League. Its about the teams formation.)
      5. The trials of the Flash (Set some years after the first Flash, its similarly upbeat.)

Going into it you should keep in mind that the only thing it has in common with the main DC universe is the names. With the characters, identites and such not being remotely similar. Like, Riddler is a guy with a machine gun who 'riddlers' you with holes. And Dollman is the name of a really short mob boss.

    3. It's funny to me because I didn't get this but I made sure to get Just Imagine, Stan Lee's.......... Oh the poor choices of my life.

    4. Ah, Just Imagine. It was a very...Stan Lee series. Some of the character designs were rather nice. Such as what was done with the Phantom Stranger and Catwoman.

Also I should probably add a warning that Tangent was not a very consistant series. Like, it had three seperate runs, none of which even remotly resembled one another. So the first had established and developed a bunch of characters in one direction, the second abruptly killed/brought back to life/changed characters for no apparent reason. And the third part turned around and made everyone into copies of their DC counterparts for a crossover story where Tangent waged war on the main universe.

So its hard to say which versions will pop up in Convergence. Though I will be shocked if Justice League Detroit isn't fighting Tangent Secret Six.
