Top 5 Fridays: Top 5 Characters/Teams I Want In Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2

Welcome back to another installment of Top 5 Fridays! You know what seemed like a huge gamble? Legends of Tomorrow. Don't get me wrong. The team behind the scenes has worked wonders on The Flash and Arrow, and the cast is very good and full of actors who breathe life into the characters they play... That being said if the show failed to get ratings it could have made people question the creation of other Superhero shows due to its big budget. Thankfully it did succeed and now were getting a second season! The news of this sent my inner child on a wishing spree of characters I want to see in season two, so that's what we'll be talking about today! As per usual, this list is made with my personal opinions and choices, so if you don't see someone you want, I apologize. With that in mind, let's hop into the Waverider and get this list started!

5: Eobard Thawne

Whaaaaaat? A villain on a list with mostly heroes? Well sit back and let me bring you back to a little something called The Flash Season 1 finale. The STAR Labs team spent the episode building a Time Bubble. When the team completed it, Thawne makes a comment at how Rip Hunter would be proud  of the work they've done... Soon after we get a series with Rip as the captain of a team of heroes. Coincidence? I think not! With a comment like that, it would mean that Thawne had encountered Rip and his technology before. What if we get an episode where Rip goes to the future and meets this young scientist who wants to meet his idol, The Flash? Rip knows what is going to happen and the team might want to stop it, leaving the question of should they spare their friend a tragic fate. Not only do we get an origin story for Reverse Flash, but we also have a potential Legends/Flash crossover. It's a win on all sides!

4: Justice League Beyond

While it would be more difficult to get the heavy hitters (Batman and Superman) on, I think the other members could definitely make it on to meet the legends. Picture if you will, the Legends go to the future past the defeat of Savage, wanting to see if his defeat changed. They might see that not only it did but their actions inspired a new generation of heroes. Or better yet: have members that stem from the Legends! You already have Micron and Warhawk, I'm sure the writers can think of something clever as future versions of the other heroes. Having these guys show up, especially if they are tailored to look like them, would show that they truly have become LEGENDS.

3: The Justice Society

Enough with that future crap, let's go back in time! After all, this is a time traveling show, we should go to one of the history's most infamous wars. Almost every show that deals with science fiction deal with WWII at one point or another, so why hasn't Legends? When DC fans think of World War II their mind instantly goes to the Justice Society and for good reason. They're the first superhero team, have iconic characters with great chemistry, and beat up some of the worst villains in human history. One could call them LEGENDS... See what I did there? We already have hints of Ma Hunkel and the Sandman, so why not get the rest of the society involved? We can't get Green Lantern and The Flash? Throw in Sgt. Rock and his platoon to replace them! Basically, I want a WWII episode, and if at all possible, get the Justice Society involved. Can't a guy dream?

2: Supergirl of The Arrowverse

I know what you're probably thinking, "But Jody, there's already a Supergirl show! Why would we want her with the Legends?" The answer is a relatively simple one: Supergirl season 2 has NOT been picked up yet. I know it's pessimistic to think, but if the past has proven anything, comic book shows REALLY need to do well to get a longer TV lifespan. While Supergirl did alright, the show hasn't gotten picked up for season 2. So what does this have to do with Legends? Simple. Use it as a springboard! When Barry Allen was first announced to be on Arrow, the full intent was to see how he was reacted to? If it was good, the show was picked up. 2 seasons later, Flash is one of the CW's most popular shows. See where I'm going with this now? Supergirl has potential, more people just need to see it! Plus I have no doubt Reggie would LOVE to see her follow his CW Superhero shows.

1: Booster Gold

How on all 52 Earths in the DC Multiverse has this guy not gotten a cameo?! No Easter egg, no nod, NOTHING! This is BOOSTER GOLD! He's the face of time travel in the DC universe! He's also a major player in Rip Hunter's life, even if he doesn't know it yet! We've also seen a little bit of how his powers would work during the episode with the Pilgrim! He and Rip would probably make the best team up in DC TV! So with that in mind, why hasn't he Is it because he is too much of a comedic character? If that's the case, you will need to cut out Snart's sarcasm. Is it because he can't be dramatic? Booster Gold: Blue and Gold proves otherwise. The fact is the show runners wanted the team and characters of the show to be new to not just the viewers, but TV as well. What I mean is that before the Arrowverse there was no Firestorm, Atom and even Hawkgirl on TV. They want to bring new characters before the hold, and I respect that. However, it wouldn't hurt to see our favorite 25th-century man return to the small screen for another go at heroics.

That's it for this week's Top 5 Friday! Who do you want to see in Legends Season 2? Leave a comment and I'll see you next time!
