Let's jump back into the Digiverse........... Well, just because we have to I guess because there's no real reason to want to go back there otherwise, especially after last issue when Cyborg learned that this strange reality that he was in was actually a digital world that was one of many within the Digiverse and because of this..... he was able to re-code reality as he saw fit.......... essentially, making him Neo from The Matrix.  So yeah, Vic has that going on for him so this shouldn't take too long to wrap up and stop the baddies because Cyborg can now do whatever he wants.  Let's jump into this issue and see how that works for him.  Let's check it out.

Explain It!:

Our issue begins with Cyborg pretty much calming his evil doppelganger completely down now that he's displayed the powers of a god and now that he's calm, this Cyborg is willing to tell us that he's so angry at humanity because humans killed his fiance after she was infected by the OTAC virus.  Luckily, that love just happened to be this reality's version of Variant and after our hero tells him that another version of her is out and about in the world, this Red Cyborg is all about giving the OTAC virus cure to our hero.

After testing the cure out on Exxy and seeing that it's safe........... since the OTAC virus seems to be the one thing in this world that Cyborg can't manipulate, the two Anomaly's get in contact with our two heroes and tell them that they demand a battle royal....... or as they call it....... a "Mega-Battle" or else they'll infect Variant with the OTAC virus.  Really though, Anomaly tells Cyborg that he'll kill his fiance again........ even though we just established that humans killed her, establishing this Cyborg's hate for humans....... I guess it doesn't matter because it's a moot point since our heroes have the cure and with that it's all beat 'em ups from here.   Cyborg has the God Code on and is just wrecking house, growing giant and erasing this world's Anomaly from existence......... while letting his version get away, even though he figured out how to manipulate the code of the world as well, but I guess it doesn't matter because after getting away, he's met by the Digiverse god, who is disguised as Blue and this being teleports Anomaly away.

In the end, the Digi-day seems to be saved, but back on our world, Black Narcissus and Sarah Charles keep an eye on everyone's body while they're tripping the Digiverse fantastic, but they may not be able to keep it up because Anomaly's cybernetic followers are getting antsy in the pantsy about their leader being missing and they're threatening to kill all of humanity if he's not turned over to them.

That's it for this issue of Cyborg and........... there's really nothing to this issue.  Cyborg can do anything he wants and everything is pretty much settled easy peasy lemon squeezy because of it.  Hell, there isn't even any problems with the evil version of Cyborg from this world because he's instantly calmed down and all about saving the cyborg version of his lady love here.  Yeah, so that's it. The art in this issue is pretty damn awesome, but everything else is too easy and wasn't that much fun to read because of it.

Bits and Pieces:

Cyborg continues to be a dud, even with him being in the Digiverse and everything in this issue is wrapped up pretty simple and easy because of Cyborg's new Digi-power.  The art in this issue is great, but that's the only thing that's been great in this series for a long time.

4/10

  1. This is one of the best artists in comics ... haven't read any Cyborg but if it is so bad they should give this artist a shot at another book like Justice League .
