*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

Let's get back to the Blud, where Nightwing is going to have the fight of his life as the Marcus Casino becomes full of Blockbuster-ed out gamblers, who only want to eat and smash........ hopefully not in that order when it comes to our hero....... or any order really.  Luckily though, the Run-Offs are on the case as well and have decided that a hero's life is right for them if it means keeping their city safe from Raptor and Pigeon's schemes.  Let's jump into this issue and see how Nightwing can deal with some crazed out, muscle bound, high rollers as Raptor puts his final play into motion.  Let's check it out.

Explain It!:

Our issue begins with Roland Desmond coming to Nightwing's aid and even though the big lug is the one responsible for all of this mess, since he started having the Blockbuster formula made to keep other gangs out of Bludhaven, which led to Raptor stealing all of it and destroying the antidote, our casino owner still partly blames Dick for what's going on as well since Raptor's in town because of his vendetta against Nightwing.  So yeah, no pointing fingers here and with that, our two unlikely allies have to make their way up to the top floor so that they can activate a magnetic lock down to make sure that none of these monsters make it onto the streets of Bludhaven.

Yeah, they're a little too late, but thankfully, Stallion and Gorilla Grimm are doing what they can to keep people safe.  As chaos roars from the Marcus Casino, Raptor and Pigeon prepare their final strike............ where Pigeon has to calm Raptor down because of him freaking about about his inability to kill Dick Grayson, but the plan is still in motion and the two villains still have a lot to do before the night is over.

In the end, Blockbuster and Nightwing have to fight their way past a monster Tiger Shark to get to the controls at the top floor, but once they're there, DeFacer calls Nightwing to let him know that the Run-Offs have discovered Raptor and Pigeon's plan.  They're going to disseminate the Blockbuster formula throughout the city using birds as carriers and as we leave this issue, it doesn't look like anyone in Bludhaven will be able to stop the city's transformation.

That's it for this issue of Nightwing and while we mostly deal with Nightwing and Blockbuster yelling at each other, while beating in some monster heads, this still isn't a bad issue.  We learn that Roland Desmond can't stay in his Blockbuster form for long without it hurting, Raptor and Pigeon's plan and also that Dick plans on keeping his word to Roland about leaving the city once all of this is over in exchange for the villain's help.  The art, while not something I'm usually a fan of when it comes to this artist is actually pretty decent and I didn't find it distracting like I usually do....... which is a plus, but since we didn't do a lot in this issue besides for get all of our exposition out of the way for the final issue in two weeks, there's not a lot of going on besides for monsters showing up and getting knocked down.

Bits and Pieces:

While not the most dynamic issue of Nightwing, we did get all of our exposition out of the way for our finale next issue, which hopefully is something more than fighting Blockbuster monsters because that's all you really get here.  Thankfully, the art, which I'm normally not a fan of is pretty decent this issue, I just wish that we got more from the story.

6.3/10
