*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

It would appear that everything we've read from Titans Hunt up has led to here, you know with Mister Twister being the minion of what seems to be the future Donna Troy, Troia, but sadly, the journey hasn't been all that appealing since it hasn't really made all that much sense........ mostly because of Titans Hunt.  That being said though, let me fill you in on what's gone down.  Wally West has died because he stressed his heart out too much, Troia was brought through a doorway to the future by unlocking it with emotional pain and now she's trying to convince Donna Troy to become her now instead of later so that she can save herself the pain of the world letting her down.  Let's jump into this issue and see how it all ends.  Let's check it out.

Explain It!:

Our issue begins with......... Well, a lot of what we got in the previous issue, but things certainly take a new turn when we find out that Kid Flash was able to resuscitate Wally West and we have our Flash back in action.  Yeah, we don't learn anything about if he still has his heart problem or how the Speed Force kept him alive, but he's back and that means........... nothing for this issue really.  The only thing that Wally really does in this issue is tell Kid Flash that he wants to be a mentor for him and then tell him to get every super team he can to come to the rescue, which sounds awesome....... but again, nothing ever comes of this in this issue.

So the fight is on with the now reassembled Titans team against Troia and her minions, but all we really get out of this is Roy Harper professing his love to Troia hoping that will calm her down, but it doesn't and only leads to Roy having an awkward moment with Donna later and Donna ultimately saving the day by facing Troia when she's about to kill Roy and sending her back through the rift.

In the end, everyone is okay, Garth knocks out Psimon and then the Titans go after Mister Twister and the Key, where I guess we're just left thinking that everything in Titans Hunt was setup by Troia instead of the Antithesis because of Mister Twister's connection, but I have no idea how Troia was able to take control or even contact these villains in the first place.

That's it for this issue of Titans and in the end of this arc that seemed to mean a lot when it first started, we learn really nothing at all.  The good guys beat the bad guys, Wally's just alive and I see no clear connection between this and Titans Hunt.  The only thing that was really impressive in this entire issue is the art team, who generally never disappoint, but the overall story just seems thrown together and doesn't make much sense in the end because nothing is explained at all.  It just was and I guess we're just supposed to go with that.  Hopefully, things are expanded upon in upcoming issues because we've been dealing with this threat for a long time now in this series and if is all we get....... it would just be such a disappointment.

Bits and Pieces:

There isn't much going on in this issue except for a big ass fight, which we've already gotten previously and by the end nothing is really explained at all...... it just is.  Thankfully though, the art was incredible this issue as it always is, but at the end of the day that isn't much takeaway from this book.

5.5/10

  1. This was a solid issue. My only problem is how fast this felt wrapping up this arc, and I guess the speed force gave wallet a new heart and New Wally never got any other heroes to come and help. This issue looked amazing and the action was shown very fluidly. And finally my boy Roy catches a break for once.
