Who ya gonna call?

Pornsak Pichetshote's horror thriller comic is fast gaining a reputation for thrills and chills. It certainly isn't for the faint-hearted and you may wish to think twice about reading this just before bed at night. Something tells me that this issue will be just as chilling, let's find out!

Well, it certainly is. This issue actually sees Pichetshote weave a pretty tight tapestry around the roster of characters that have been developed in this series. Well...at least...those characters that are still alive. This issue sees the focus primarily being placed upon the neighbors of Aisha, centering on Medina in particular.

Separately Ethan has brought the party to an old blogger who had spent some time years ago investigating the mysterious Arthur Quinn. The activities of Mr. Quinn allow them to unravel more of the mystery surrounding what is allowing spirits to cross into Aisha's apartment block, but that doesn't make things any easier as this issue concludes with a brutal ending. Not for the faint-hearted.
In terms of the art on this book, Campbell and Villarrubia strike the perfect arch tone. The apartment blocks all look dingy with paint chipped off the walls and couches with very little spring left in them. The hospital looks chemically cleaned and antiseptic, fluorescent neon light casting a harsh glare on proceedings. Everything about the art and color is designed to set you on edge, without being too obvious about it. You are primed perfectly when the visitors from another dimension make their appearance!

Bits and pieces

The story continues and the violence increases. This isn't, however, a gore-fest and is psychological in tone and approach. It is a really good book, a really classy book, and it will have you gripping the sides of the armchair as you read...you have been warned (psst...read it!).

8/10
