The Johns run kind...i think i get what your saying. The Johns run kinda makes you connect to the characters on a human level, especially since we see a lot behind the scenes moments are shown and the conflict it has. JLA shows them actually working more like a team, or a league as it were, to fight a common foeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13843420644823331214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557726951171561616.post-42265051649088442332015-07-09T08:47:00.623-04:002015-07-09T08:47:00.623-04:00I'm always a little geeked when I get an ANGEL...I'm always a little geeked when I get an ANGEL reference (even when it's to the 4th season) on a non-Whedon page (it remains my favorite show...followed by BUFFY in 2nd and THE WEST WING in a surprisingly close 3rd...).

Anyway...

I loved the first issue of JLA but you are correct that this issue was even better. I am so surprised and pleased with Hitch's writing ability but this issue was much more focused. Even his artwork was noticeably improved from issue #1.

More than anything, however, I love the classic Justice League feel....like these characters are larger than life and the whole world knows it. Don't get me wrong, I've been enjoying the hell out of Geoff Johns' League. It's a great comic. But, the new JLA feels like it matters. It's hard to put into words...i think you either get it or you don't...but, for me, this is the first time these characters have, collectively, felt like the Justice League since before the New 52 (maybe, since the last time Hitch drew the JLA...with Waid...and, definitely, not since the Kelly/Mahnke run).jacksyatteringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01567397979563481621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557726951171561616.post-82439759125643650822015-07-09T06:23:56.999-04:002015-07-09T06:23:56.999-04:00i loved this issue :D
