I combined words together in such a way as to make a food pun at the same time referencing the story and all the while explaining my opinion of this issue. That's to show how clever I am. Which in turn points out that I am much much smarter and better than YOU. Finally it proves that my opinion is much much more valid than YOURS! I am smart and YOU are stupid. Much Much stupid.
This is just a filler issue. I don't mind filler issues. It's a chance to build some character dynamics or catch fans up to speed or do that very special episode where Simon is molested by bicycle repair shop owner, Gordon Jump. This issue does none of these things.
Jessica and Simon return to Earth, battle an Asteroid Automaton, fight, flirt and flapjack. There's a couple of good bits, especially with Jessica flirting. I'm so awkward myself so I can completely relate to Jess's terrible flirt game. I could also empathize with Naxir, as I've also felt unwanted by a friend who no longer has time or need of me.
There's a couple of bad bits too. The general pacing feels awkward and a few scenes seem very forced. When Keith talks to Jess about how hot the female Lantern is, it doesn't play well. I think it would feel more natural if he wasn't talking directly to Jess, a person that he just met. It would have felt more organic if Keith was talking to a male friend and Jess overheard him making sexist remarks. The scene where Simon and Nazir share a laugh over their awkward T-shirt photo is also forced. Nothing in the story shows that they've even seen the photo. I thought it would have worked better if when Tina showed the photo to Jess she would have remarked about how everyone at the party was laughing at it.
Anyway I didn't think this was a bad comic. I also didn't think this was a good comic. I just thought this was an average comic. Average to me is 5/10.

BTW if you didn't understand already, I was totally joking earlier. I'm a complete and utter doofus.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03695585071925321102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557726951171561616.post-59464795055376525582017-10-07T16:06:02.337-04:002017-10-07T16:06:02.337-04:00this just felt like it was thrown together at the ...this just felt like it was thrown together at the last secondJim Wernerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12307419602315578911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557726951171561616.post-983994522362483062017-10-07T14:53:27.235-04:002017-10-07T14:53:27.235-04:00You are dead inside Eric, thought this issue would...You are dead inside Eric, thought this issue would affect your feelings at least a little bit. This issue was very enjoyable for those readers who have social as family anxiety. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06828349212712190081noreply@blogger.com
