I am surprised we are getting more Batman Inc. after Joshua Williamson's disappointing story in Batman.  Having Ghostmaker run the team is interesting, but I'm wondering if there is room for a Batman Inc. book when something like Batman and the Outsiders didn't sell.  Oh well, I'm not signing the checks, so let's see how this Annual plays out and if it gets me excited for the Batman Inc series coming out in October...

Dark Crisis is coming, but first, we have to get there and for that to happen we're going to explore what's happening in the DC Universe after the Death of the Justice League. Previously, in Justice League #75, we saw our heroes sent away by Pariah to what seemed like dream-like worlds to keep them occupied while the Great Darkness went and decimated the Multiverse, it's just too bad that in that issue it looked like Black Canary was left behind on a dead world, while Green Arrow was actually killed from a devastating blow from Doomsday. With Black Adam's return from that fight, he told everyone that the Justice League was dead and now we'll see how the rest of our heroes and the world are dealing with that news and what they're going to do going forward. Let's check it out.

It's Annuals week and with that, we're going to take a deeper look at Superman and Mongul to give us some backstory in Phillip Kennedy Johnson's new look at Mongul and his new background of being a Warzoon. This seems like a decent way to use an Annual since we're dealing with new aspects to an old concept that we thought we knew, but instead of using all that time with understanding Mongul and the Warzoons, we're also seeing a background of Clark Kent, and after all this time...... I'm not sure if that's something we need. Let's jump into this issue and see if we learn something new. Let's check it out.
