While not a lot happens in this issue what does happen is my favorite part of comics. Character building. We get moments with Orca, Blockbuster, Kobra soldiers, Raptor, Senator Pollito, Huntress, Detective Szoboda, The Runoffs and most importantly The city of Blüdhaven. Yes, I had to look up how to make an umlauted “u”. Yes I also had to look up what an umlaut is.
I've always loved comics that show the floor plans of the Fortress of Solitude or the control panel of the Batmobile. This issue shows the unique neighborhoods of Blüdhaven. Yes, I had to look up how to make an umlaut again. I really liked Dick's tour of his beloved city. The fictional cities of this universe is one of the reasons that I make mine DC.
I was really interested in this set-up and look forward to where it's going. Miguel Mendonca's pencils are great especially the cityscapes, which I personally find so difficult to draw. I really liked this issue and have mostly enjoyed Tim Seeley's run on this book. 7/10 for me.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03695585071925321102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8557726951171561616.post-80105594772830946432017-10-04T01:36:43.328-04:002017-10-04T01:36:43.328-04:00Wow , that is some cool art there .
