Okay, now that I got my sad bastard nonsense out of the way, I can't wait to see what happens next in this title because things certainly took a dark turn when Smiley was introduced and just kept getting darker all the way up to our previous issue's cliffhanger.  I don't care if You Are Robin or I Am Robin or whatever, I just know that we need our We Are Robin team to get their heads out of their asses and start taking the Jokerz down.

Poor Bizarro, my little backwards hero.  The clock is ticking on one of my favorite characters and all he wants to do is get his friend all better.  Of course, "getting better" means bringing Trickster back from the dead...a death that was caused by Bizarro's new found hygene.  His naivety is his charm, but also his downfall.  Last chapter ended with Bizarro heading "home" to get help from Lex Luthor and if you've been reading the series, that spells a whole lot of trouble for Lex.  All of this is why I couldn't wait for this chapter and now that I've read it, was it worth the wait?  Let's find out...

Actionverse is an event comic currently being published by Action Labs (one of my new publishing crushes).  This crossover brings together the creative minds and properties of over 20 different creators together to create one single unified “Actionverse” Universe. Issues #0, 1, & 2 featured characters such as Molly Danger, Midnight Tiger, Stray, F1rst Hero (Jake Roth) and Cascade (Kyle Scordato).  

 Yes, I do understand this site is supposed to be for DC related comics, topics, and shenanigans but in the lull I’ve found myself lately, while I wait for Rebirth to start, I’ve been able to expand my horizons a bit. Action Labs has received most of that attention from me and before everyone rolls their eyes and questions whether or not I’m not on their payroll hear me out first and read on. It's been awhile, but since I decided to read the first issue of Gingerdead Man last week, I got inspired and figured that I better get back on the Puppet Master series as well for my Just For The Hell of It Monday reviews.  Man, I just love this series and everything that Shawn Gabborin is doing to tell new stories while throwing things in that fans of the film franchise will sit back and say "Holy shit, I remember that!  That's awesome!"  Well, that's what I do at least.  In our previous issue we started a new story, which is kind of a sequel to the events of the film Puppet Master 2, in that we're exploring the Bouldeston Institute for Mentally Troubled Tots and Teens, where a deranged wooden woman named Camille, who was brought back at the end of that movie to be the puppet's new Master, decided that our tiny band of killers and her would continue their bloodshed at that institute.......... The thing is though, we ended that movie on that awesome cliffhanger but it was never brought back up again........... and that killed me as a kid because I thought it would be an awesome location for a sequel, but here we are twenty-five years later and I've finally got my wish.  Camille apparently seems to be coming right out of the Institute's urban legends and killing again and it's up to a young boy named Anthony to get the puppets and finally put an end to Camille's killings once and for all.  Let's jump into this issue and see if the boy with the wooden leg can hobble his ass to victory against the wooden woman Camille.  Let's check it out.

I'm going to continue my John Carpenter/Kurt Russell/Retro Movie theme for this week's JFTHOI reviews with Boom Studios' Escape from New York.  Having just read and reviewed Boom's Big Trouble in Little China book, I had my hopes up that this would be as good if not better.  Of course, the tone of the two franchises are very different and if truth be told, I am a much bigger fan of Big Trouble than I will ever be of Escape from New York, but that's not what this is all about.  I am here to review this book on it's own merits and really am interested to see if this first issue takes me back to the days where I snuck downstairs to watch this movie on HBO while my parents were sleeping. Well, did it?  Let's find out...

The show centers around a group of heroes picked precisely because of how easy they'd be to replace. So, with all of that in mind, let's get on with the episode...

DC Comics Estimated Sales For March 2016

It's time to start Checking The Numbers again and see how our favorite comics are doing in sales.  Luckily, a bunch of our books were boosted by their fiftieth issue, but for the most part, it looks like people are bailing until Rebirth comes around.......... which hopefully gives these books the boosts they need.  Like always, we're only putting books on here that we consider the "main" DC books so this won't include collected digital titles, Vertigo or DC Essentials.

Just for the Hell of It Podcast Ep 3: Stuck and F, Marry, Kill

It's been awhile since I reviewed a Robin: Son of Batman book and while I'd like to say that it's because I've been too busy with really important things that make me seem like some sort of big shot, the truth is, I just haven't been digging this series and once I missed reviewing one issue, it just became easier for me to make up excuses for myself on why I didn't have to review the rest.  I've got some time this week though and even though I still have the "not a fan" thing going for me, I have to admit that I've gotten a little curious about what our little pumpkin headed boy is up to and where his adventures will take him before this title ends and he starts having exploits with the Teen Titans and Jonathan Kent.  Now I'm not a complete novice on this title even though I missed some reviews because I'm pretty sure that I read every issue up to this, but even then I might have missed some things, but from what I understand, the Lu'un Darga are attempting to replace the artifacts that Damian stole during his Year of Blood so that they can become all powerful........ or something along those lines, but the coolest aspect of all of this is that Damian has a nemesis his own age in the head of the Lu'un Darga.  It's cool just to see Damian up against a kid who he could have easily become if his daddy wasn't in his life.  Let's see if Damian can put an end to the Lu'un Darga and if Talia can get over the jealousy of her son's first crush/friend Maya.  Let's check it out.

Top 5 Fridays: Top 5 July DC Comics Rebirth Titles I'm Excited For

Welcome back to another fantastic Top 5 Fridays! Last week I covered the Top 5 June Rebirth titles (if you didn't read it and want to click HERE), and you readers rolled on up with your own lists! As much as I liked reading them, people were just throwing out the titles they were excited for even though the solicitations weren't out yet. I understand why just hearing the name Nightwing should have diehard fans jumping from their chairs and throw money at their local comic shops, but going in blind could lead to some bad experiences. Now back to the topic at hand, literally days after I made the list, the July Solicitations came out. You know what that means! TIME FOR PART 2 OF THE REBIRTH TOP 5'S! As always this list is personal preference, so if you don't see something that you like, I apologize. So with that in mind, let's begin!

Wonder Woman's been a big dope lately because she's decided that trusting the Goddess of Witchcraft and Necromancy is the best option she has in saving Baby Zeke from his illness apparently put on him from the Mother of The Earth, Gaia.  Yeah, I understand that family usually fucks you over in the end and trusting them isn't the best option in most cases........... but Hecate is the Goddess of Witchcraft and Necromancy!  That doesn't really inspire confidence in my mind and when she tells you that the only way to save Zeke is to fuck over your family and go on tasks....... Well, I'm a lazy man and tasks and fucking over family members just seems like too much work to me...... that's just me though, apparently Wonder Woman is all about it and is now on her way to Tartarus to free the Hecatonchires.  Let's jump into this issue and see if Wonder Woman can smarten the hell up, or if Hecate is right and this book tells me to shut the hell up.  Let's check it out.
