Astonishing X-Men #10 Review - Marvel Monday

X-Rated

Written by: Charles Soule
Pencils by: ACO
Inks by: David Lorenzo
Colors by: Rachelle Rosenberg
Letters by: VC's Clayton Cowles

The Astonishing X-Men monthly series is the book that is directly responsible for me getting back into the X-Men books for the first time since the late 1990s. Issue 1 reeled me in, and sent me back through the back catalog of recent years, and diving into the new series as they came on board. I'm now up to date in my X titles but has my love endured for the series that sparked it all off 10 months ago?

Anyway, you better believe that Star Wars Marvel is going to capitalize on it. Let's see if this is worth the whopping $19.99 price tag.

Hmmm. Enjoy Rogue One? If so you might be interested in what happened to the desert moon of Jedha. If not, you probably won't care. Either way, under the new Disney canon Jedha is central to the opening crawl of A New Hope (I know, who knew that we needed all that back-story to a classic film we all enjoyed before the back-story?). This book details the aftermath to the major astronomical mass that was hit by the Death Star before Alderaan...and didn't disintegrate completely.
