Kyle Higgins and Christos Gage have really done a great job in letting the story unravel. It's even more impressive when you realize they are doing it in a smaller digital release. There is no hand holding here. This issue gives us a moment with Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon that is so good. It doesn't impact the story immensely, but it's great. Meanwhile the Terrys head off to Wayne Manor and are confronted by the Jokerz gang. The two fight as a team, but it still doesn't look good...until our Terry finds a game changer under the Manor. Things are about to go down.
Thony Silas is back. The book hasn't looked bad by any stretch, but Silas is back! The issue is like a cartoon come to life and the final page is awesome.
As you can probably tell, I am a huge fan of this book and crossover. However, this issue is pretty much setup. Granted, what it sets up is great, but the whole comic stalls until the last page. This is one of those issues that is bound to happen in a series like this. When it is collected, no one will notice, but as a single digital issue it sticks out.
Bits and Pieces:
Batman Beyond 2.0 #19 is setup. What it sets up is awesome, but not much happens until the end. As a fan of the series, I still ate it up and the art is great. Fans will enjoy it, but I think this issue will fit in better when the event is collected. This is the first time I had to say that about a Batman Beyond 2.0 issue yet.
7.9/10
