You ready to waste way more time than you want to? Good! Follow me, gang! We're traveling down the Uselessness Lane, and stopping for a quick bite at Why Are We Even Here Burger.

Listen, guys. I'm going to be blunt. I've got a lot of crap going on in my life. I've had to put my podcast on hiatus and who knows what the hell is going to happen next, but one of the things I really like doing is sitting down and writing one of the few reviews that I still write for Weird Science.

But I CANNOT spend much time writing a review for this issue. I spent enough time reading the goddamn wordy thing to come out of it feeling like I'm 20 years older.

And I've liked this book! I say it every month: it has no reason to exist. Nobody asked for this, I still have no idea what's going on, but still, at the end of each issue I've come out of it really liking each issue; until now. Yes, it's issue 8 out of 12 so that's not that bad overall if you really think about it.

Our nameless detective sits down with three people who spent a week on a farm with Meyerson and Laura. They were paid to do certain services. There was a shrink to give Meyerson (still wearing a Rorschach mask the whole time) therapy, a lawyer to write their wills, and a laborer to build a stage. It's all this elaborate story with way too many words, only to find out they're lying the whole time. You know what? I'm so angry I wasted my time with this, I'm not even getting into it.

Bits and Pieces

Excellent series but this issue is a waste. It'll take you way too long to read it and by the end, you're going to feel cheated out of your time. You find out one little thing and that's it.

3/10
