Catwoman #41 Review

Made Men

Writer: Tini Howard
Artist: Nico Leon
Cover Price: $3.99

I have enjoyed Tini Howard's gritty, mob-infested Catwoman story so far.  It has grabbed a lot of inspiration from Genevieve Valentine's DCYou run but is doing its own thing as well.  So, let's jump into this week's issue and see what's going on with Selina, Valmont, Dario, and the rest of the Cat-Crew!

Batman: The Knight #3 Review

Knight Flight

Writer: Chip Zdarsky
Artist: Carmine Di Giandomenico
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: March 15, 2022

Batman: The Knight shouldn't have surprised me as much as it has.  I am a certified Chip Zdarsky Fanboy (don't ask me where I got my certification - the first rule of Zdarsky Club...) and love origin stories.    Still, I think most fans were wondering, not if this series would be good, but if it was necessary.  I think we will all have to wait until it's over to say genuinely, but I am enjoying it so far.  Does that love continue after this issue?  Let's find out!

Justice League #74 Review

This Looks Like A Job For... Naomi!

Written By: Brian Michael Bendis
Art By: Szymon Kudranski, Emanuela Lupacchino, Wade Von Grawbadger, Hi-Fi, Josh Reed
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: March 15, 2022

It's finally the end of Bendis' run on the Justice League and with that, we're going to conclude our Xanadoth story, where previously I thought that Bendis would use this time to really flesh out this new villain that was the original Lord of Chaos because where the character was introduced in his Superman run it really didn't seem like there was enough time to make this character memorable. Well, I was wrong and instead of that, we have Xanadoth taking possession of Black Adam, saying she has a connection with Madame Xanadu, while Nabu makes us realize that like always in Bendis books, Naomi is the most important character there is. Let's jump into this issue and see how this story and run concludes. Let's check it out.

Titans United #7 Review

Take Your Pulse

Written By: Cavan Scott
Art By: Jose Luis, Daniel Hor, Jonas Trindade, Rex Lokus, Carlos M. Mangual
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: March 15, 2022

It's the Titans United finale to what I'm calling a Hypertime story that finds the cast of the Titans HBO show put into comics with a story that has it all..... and I do mean all. We've got people who have been turned into sleeper agents with Titan powers, we have Tamaran invading Earth, we had Superboy turn evil and go by his Hypertime name of Black Zero and at the end of the previous issue, we learned that we also have the Citadel coming to Earth to take it over as well. Let's jump into this finale and see if all these loose threads can be pulled tight and have this seven-issue mini feel like it mattered by the end. Let's check it out.

The Flash #780 Review

Collateral Damage

Written By: Jeremy Adams
Art By: Will Conrad, Jeremy Cox, Matt Herms, Peter Pantazis, Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: March 15, 2022

The War For Earth-3 continues with part 3 as we jump into The Flash and see how our fastest man alive fits into the grand scheme of Amanda Waller's invasion and takeover of the world of the Crime Syndicate. In our previous issue, we had some of our members of the Suicide Squad like Culebra and Talon acting as double agents against Amanda Waller, while Rick Flag's Suicide Squad was actively trying to bring her down and to this end, we saw Ambush Bug, Peacemaker and Superwoman crushed in Ultraman's Fortress of Solitude by Black Siren and Johnny Quick when they tried to retrieve the Phantom Zone projector so that they could hopefully even the playing field against The Wall by taking Ultraman out of the equation. Let's jump into this issue and see if any of these story threads continue as the war wages on. Let's check it out.
