I love Wonder Woman, and while she has had more downs than ups in her solo books the last bunch of years, I keep reading and keep hoping for better.  Unfortunately, since Future State ended, this book has gotten worse and worse with each issue, and I am seriously thinking of bailing on it entirely for the first time in over a decade.  Let's see if this issue changes my mind...

Infinite Frontier #3 Review

Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: July 27, 2021

I have enjoyed Infinite Frontier more with every issue, and at the risk of spoiling things, this issue is no different.  While many of the DC books appear to be heading towards Future State (a bit too quickly, I may add), Infinite Frontier feels like the ticket to avoid that future.  Don't get me wrong, I liked Future State enough when it was going on, but I do not want all of the books to head off to that dark future any time soon!  So, what do we get in this issue of Infinite Frontier, and why am I such a big fan?  Let's find out...

Batman: Secret Files: Huntress #1 Review

You've Got Something In Your Eye

Written By: Mariko Tamaki
Art By: David Lapham, Trish Mulvihill, Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: July 27, 2021

Spinning out of the pages of Detective Comics, we have Huntress in a one-shot where she's going after Hue Vile....... well, she's going after the eye-worm infected victims of Hue Vile as Batman continues to deal with Mr. Worth. It's funny, we have all of this going on in Detective Comics and somehow a billionaire with a love for explosives trumps a rage-feeding-monster-man who infects people with an alien-looking spore in his mouth. Luckily we have Helena Bertinelli on the case though and her new strange connection to Hue Vile. Let's jump into this issue and check it out.

Gotta Get That Snowman's Ticket..... Whatever That Is!

Written By: Brian Michael Bendis
Art By: Alex Maleev, Dave Stewart, Josh Reed
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: July 27, 2021

The pseudo Checkmate story continues where Lois Lane and a ragtag group that is somehow known as the best detectives in the DC Universe have come together to take down Leviathan for destroying all the spy agencies on Earth and even though they'll tell you within this story how things have drastically changed... if you're reading any other DC Comics right now you know that they haven't and this title continues to feel too little too late...... not to mention, not very well thought out. Let's jump into this issue to see who stands around and talks in circles as we continue to learn about Mark Shaw and Leviathan. Let's check it out.

Teen Titans Academy #5 Review

Going Batty

Written By: Tim Sheridan

Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: July 27, 2021

We continue with the Bat-Pack this issue as they try to figure out the identity of the elusive Red X. From what we saw in the previous issue though, it doesn't look like they'll have to keep hunting down clues or looking for people who know the truth because Red X was waiting for the Bat-Pack when they got back to their dorm room. So with that, let's jump into this issue and see the secret origin of the Bat-Pack as they tell their story to Red X. Let's check it out.

Superman: Son of Kal-El #1 Review

Truth, Justice, and a Better World

Written By: Tom Taylor
Art By: John Timms, Gabe Eltaeb, Dave Sharpe
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: July 27, 2021

It's time for Jon Kent to take over the Superman title and become his own man. What kind of man will that be? Well, it looks like we're going to be looking at that with this opening issue..... Even though I wish we were looking into how emotionally and mentally damaged Jon would be after spending seven years chained up in a volcano with only a weepy Ultraman to keep him company. I guess I'll never get my wish though and DC Comics doesn't want to deal with the ramifications of aging Jon up but what we'll get instead is a boy who's becoming a man and trying to find his path in life. Let's jump into this issue and see what Superman: Son of Kal-El holds in store for us as a series. Let's check it out.

Robin #4 Review

That being said though, in our previous issue, we saw Connor Hawke throw Damian off a cliff and then being rescued by Ra's Al Ghul. Let's jump into this issue and see what some Grandfather/Grandson time does for our hero. Let's check it out.
