Comic book crossovers can often be a fun time if done right, all depending on how much of a fan you happen to be of the two properties being mashed together of course. When I first heard that DC was once again teaming up with Rooster Teeth for a comic based on their widely successful animated web series RWBY, I was a bit surprised. The previous RWBY comic series didn’t seem to perform all that well, particularly since they ditched the final print issue of the series when the April shutdown of 2020 happened (to this reader’s dismay). But this time, DC is bringing their heaviest hitters along to hopefully draw more readers in, as all our favorite Justice League members are dropped into the world of Remnant for this all-new series! It’s the crossover I never knew I wanted, but does it work?

Batman/Superman #17 Review

Film Freaks

Writer: Gene Luen Yang
Artist: Ivan Reis
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: April 28, 2021

Gene Luen Yang is back with another issue of Batman/Superman, and while I liked the last issue enough, I thought it relied too much on the visual gimmick and was a bit more confusing than it had to be because of it.  It still was intriguing, though, and I am a Yang fanboy, so I expected to be more into this story as it progressed.  Is that what ended up happening?  Let's find out...

Robin #1 Review

Fighting For Earthrealm... Or Something

Written By: Joshua Williamson
Art By: Gleb Melnikov, Troy Peteri
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: April 27, 2021

What great timing for this book to be released right around the same time that the new Mortal Kombat movie was released..... because that's what we have here. Damian Wayne in Mortal Kombat with a few other fighters that you may already know and a few that you don't. Technically though, we're off to see the tournament of the League of Lazarus..... on Lazarus Island... it's always good to stick with a brand and speaking of brands... even though previously we saw Damian rip his Robin symbol off his chest and declare Robin no more, he's back with a modified Robin suit... because the name Robin will sell more copies of the book. Maybe there's a deeper reason behind it but that's what I'm saying as we jump into this Damian Wayne led series. Let's check it out.

Teen Titans Academy #2 Review

For whatever reason, this mystery person is wearing the old Red X mask that Dick Grayson once wore and is doing possibly nefarious things inside the school. It's all up in the air right now so let's jump into this issue and see if we learn anything more about the new students or Red X. Let's check it out.

Let's continue the stories that will eventually lead to the end of Superman...... at least that's what Superboy is telling us from what he learned in the future but those records are always messed up and time has a way of doing whatever it wants in the end, especially when it means making money off of Superman so really, I don't know if we should be worried about our Man of Steel... Even if it looked like Mongul and Warworld were eventually going to make their way to Earth. Let's jump into this issue and see what our Superman Family are up to.

Almost instantly, the program gets abused by Gotham's citizens ("my neighbor is a clown... take my word for it.") and Hugo Strange, himself. When an anonymous tipster informs Strange Harley Quinn is in town, Harley and smiling-chin-Kevin find themselves on the run.
