If you've ever reviewed any sort of consumable content, you're probably familiar with the sensation you feel when a certain subject just sort of "defies discussion".

Such has been the case a few times out with our man Lucifer.  It's difficult to truly dissect and review without, ya know, spoiling every single bit of it.

Consider the above two paragraphs as both my warning... and apology.

The Terminus Agenda is in the rear-view... and I only read half of the thing!  Hopefully this handy-dandy epilogue will fill me in on everything I might have missed!

Looks like the Titans are headed for a bit of a schism... I gotta hand it to 'em, it must've taken bucket-loads of restraint not to "homage" the George Perez New Teen Titans #39 cover (for the dozenth time)!

Nightwing #60 Review

Under Fire

Written By: Dan Jurgens
Art By: Chris Mooneyham, Nick Filardi, Andworld Design
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May15, 2019

Off to Bludhaven we go to check in on Ric Grayson and the rest of the Nightwings as they try to tackle a living fire who's known as Burnback........ only by last issue's cover though.  The new villain hasn't said much beyond "Burn" or had time enough for introductions just yet.  With that, what better time to go into the history of Malcolm Hutch, Nightwing Red, the firefighter of the group and dive further into his backstory about why he never became a police officer like he originally intended to.  Let's jump into this issue and see how our heroes do and gleam a little more about our favorite axe-wielding Nightwing.  Let's check it out.

Superman #11 Review

In Space...... Everyone Ignores You

Written By: Brian Michael Bendis
Art By: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado, Oclair Albert, Alex Sinclair, Josh Reed
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 15, 2019

Jon's back from Earth-3 and has told his parents all about his seven year misadventure, but now story time is over and father and son have to go and make sure that Jor-El is safe, now that it seems that Rogol Zaar and General Zod have broken out of the Phantom Zone.  As we saw at the end of last issue though, it seems like things may be more dire than originally expected for our Man of Steel because when Jon and him teleported back to Jor-El's location, he found three alien races, battling it out around their destination.  Let's jump into this issue and see if three generations of Els can stop these........ Star Wars....... yeah, I said it.

Justice League #24 Review

Remain True

Written by: Scott Snyder and Jorge Jimenez
Art by: Jorge Jimenez, Alejandro Sanchez, and Tom Napolitano
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 15, 2019

I have found this Sixth Dimension story to be a bit of fresh air for this book.  It was starting to feel like it as imploding under its own weight and while things might get back to that when (if?) our heroes get back to their Earth, I am having fun with this pseudo-Elseworlds type story right now.  The Sixth Dimension is about imagination and so is this story and seeing the Legion of Doom show up the last issue as the heroes was such a cool twist.  So, what crazy stuff is going on this issue and is it any good?  Let's find out...

Naomi #5 Review

Talking in the Moonlight

Written by: Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker
Art by: Jamal Campbell and Wes Abbott
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 15, 2019

If you have been following my reviews either here and/or on the podcast for this book, you will know that I am a fan of Naomi as a character, but am frustrated at the glacial pace we are finding out about her.  Maybe it's that every cover keeps claiming the issue you are reading at that point is the biggest thing ever and all will be revealed, but there is a more innocent reason here...I want to know everything there is about Naomi!  I have loved so many of Bendis' young characters in the past and to be honest, I need a character to fall in love with in these dark times at DC Comics right now.  So, I am going into this issue with an open mind and heart just hoping to get more.  Do we?  Let's find out...

Batman #71 Review and *SPOILERS*

Art By: Mikel Janin, Jorge Fornes, Jordie Bellaire
Letters By: Clayton Cowles
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: May 15, 2019

*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

When it comes to this Batman book I’ve seen a hundred reviews and twitter conversations about it and it seems to come down to two options. Either you have absolutely loved this book or you’ve absolutely hated it. However, for myself, I’m kind of torn. The beginning of Tom King’s run is something that I really loved but as for the most recent Knightmare storyline, I’m less than thrilled. This puts me in the awkward position of being vehemently disagreed with no matter how I review this book. That being said, I cannot wait for the outrage. Now as I said, this whole Knightmare storyline which has led into The Fall and the Fallen has been less than ideal. Sure, there are some good parts but I would consider this a new low point for this book. That said, hopefully things can change and we can get back to the kind of storytelling that this book started with. So, let’s just jump into it and see where it takes us.
