Release Date: August 11, 2020

The Lord of the Lords of Chaos has been reborn through the possession of the DEO Agent Veronica Bissette and is on a collision course with Superman as she tries to obtain the artifacts of the Lords of Order, for some reason.  I'm not sure why the Lords of Order's stuff is getting collected here, but that's what we're dealing with, and it seems Nabu is next on the chopping block as Xanadoth tries to claim the Helm of Fate.  Let's jump into this issue and see what this new threat means for our Man of Steel.  Let's check it out.

Release Date: August 11, 2020

It's the end of the Hawks Eternal arc that we've been dealing with and that ultimately, for at least the time being means, it's the end of the Lord Beyond the Void.  As we saw in the previous issue, the Lord Beyond the Void plans on using the life energy accumulated by our heroes by all their reincarnations to open the doorway to our dimension so that the evil god can continue on his conquest of the Universe, not to mention have an endless smorgasbord of lives to feast on at his disposal.  Let's jump into this issue and see what our Winged Warriors will do to take down the threat that originally brought them together all those lifetimes ago.  Let's check it out.

The Flash #759 Review and *SPOILERS*

Worst Disguise Ever

Written By: Joshua Williamson
Art By: Rafa Sandoval, Scott Kolins, Jordi Tarragona, Arif Prianto, Hi-Fi
Letters By: Steve Wands
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: August 11, 2020

*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

Our latest issue of the Flash really was a drag as almost nothing of importance happened until the very end of the issue. Flash faced off with the Legion of Zoom and Eobard used that opportunity to take over Flash’s body and send Barry deep into his own subconscious. With Eobard now behind the wheel, things could get seriously bad for Barry and the entire Flash Family. I’m just ready to see this story finally pick up and start making moves that affect the storyline rather than just continuing this slow build that we’ve had for several issues at this point. I’m ready to see some real movement, so hopefully, as we dive into this latest issue, that’s what we will find.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #3 Review

Jarro Redemption

Writer: Scott Snyder
Artist: Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion and FCO Plascencia
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: August 12, 2020

I have enjoyed Death Metal enough, but after two issues, I need a little more.  I know that nothing is official, but we can all agree that this is a big book that will determine the direction of the entire line in some capacity if not all.  It's felt big, but incomplete, with Scott Snyder holding the cards close to his chest.  Maybe a little to close. I want and need some answers so that I can start enjoying the ride.  Do we get some answers in this issue?  Let's find out...

Wonder Woman #760 Review

Where are the Iron Giants?

Writer: Mariko Tamaki
Artist: Mikel Janin, Jordie Bellaire, and Pat Brosseau
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: August 12, 2020

I liked the first issue of Mariko Tamaki's Wonder Woman run.  Sure, I wanted things to be a little more hard-hitting and wished we got a little more of an inkling of what Diana and Maxwell (not Max!) Lord remember about their past, but I liked the overall tone and loved Mikel Janin's art.  I do hope we get some of what I wanted in this issue, though, because if we don't, I might start to worry a bit.  So, after reading this week's issue, am I good to go or a worry wort?  Let's find out...

Batman and the Outsiders #15 Review

Writer: BryanHill
Artist: Dexter Soy, Veronica Gandini and Clayton Cowles
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: August 12, 2020

Batman and the Outsiders is heading to a close, and while that sucks, the biggest shame is that Bryan Hill didn't seem to get to tell his own story until the end. Yea, we got little pieces while DC Comics forced the book into the Year of the Villain, but really, this book seemed to be hijacked by DC since day one.  I do mean when DC canceled it before it came out and forced Hill to retool it before it even saw the light of day!  After all that, I wish I could say that it was the best book on the shelf, but I can't.  The pacing was off for a long stretch, and the story meandered a lot, but I am not convinced that was all Hill's fault, and I give him huge kudos for giving fans a decent character-driven book.  So, how is this issue?  Let's find out...
