Letters: Aditya Bidikar
Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: December 28th, 2021

Detective Comics is wrapping up its role in the Fear State saga... finally. We've got great art throughout that event in this book, and a few cool moments, but I am soooo happy it's over here. I'm kinda pumped about Shadow of the Bat, which will have Detective Comics go 12 straight weeks, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to be the one to review all of them for the site because of life, and that bums me out. I enjoy writing these, and I miss doing the retro-reviews, but sometimes things need to be put on pause. But enough about that, because I know you really don't care, I mean who the eff am I, so let's get into Detective #1046.

Artist: Otto Schmidt and Tom Napolitano
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: December 28, 2021

DC vs Vampires didn't impress me much initially, but after the last chapter, I am all in.  I guess a vampire Hal Jordan killing Barry Allen will do that!  Batman is on the case, though, and guessing who could go down next is ramping up the tension and excitement.  So, does DC vs. Vampires #3 keep that momentum going?  Let's find out!

Cover Price: $4.99
Release Date: December 28, 2021

It's back to Warworld for us as we follow our heroes as they take on Mongul and his "Warzoon" forces, but as we saw in the previous issue that's probably easier said than done as our heroes fell hard against their opponents, where even the Tangent Flash, Lightray was killed during the assault. Yeah, things seem dire for our heroes but hopefully, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and Superman will be able to save the slaves of Warworld, and if he can't... Well, at least we have a kind of cheerful look at Martian Manhunter in our current backups. Let's jump into this issue and see what's what.

Our zombie squad is at it again as they continue their quest to get Lazarus Resin off the streets and back into the hands of Project Halperin. In our previous issue, we saw Jason Todd try to get a new member for his squad but in order to do that he and his zombie force had to go through Kobra to do it and anytime someone takes it to Kobra, I have a good time. By the end, though we discovered that Deadshot was their newest zombie but the trauma of waking up still dead left Floyd putting a bullet through Red Hood. Let's jump into this issue and see what happens next.

It's Your Destiny

Writer: Joshua Williamson
Artist: Howard Porter, Hi-Fi, and Steve Wands
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: December 28, 2021

Deathstroke Inc. is an odd book.  Joshua Williamson started it feeling more like a goofy scavenger hunt that got real big at the end of the last issue. Seeing hints of it tying into Darkseid and the other stuff that Williamson is writing felt big and suddenly upped my interest.  So, does Deathstroke Inc. #4 keep the momentum going?  Let's find out...

The Tremor's Sequel We Didn't Know We Needed

Written By: Jeremy Adams
Art By: Fernando Pasarin, Matt Ryan, Jeremy Cox, Rob Leigh
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: December 28, 2021

Eclipso has come to Earth and plans on..... Well, Eclipso things and in order to stop him we'll need the Fastest Man Alive, not only for his speed but because with his even-keel attitude, Wally West seems to me immune to Eclipso's influence. At the end of the previous issue, we saw Doctor Fate bring Wally to Gemworld, where the duo were met by the rest of the Justice League Dark and hopefully with this amount of power, our heroes will be able to take this being of darkness down and maybe explain why he was imprisoned in a cosmic glaive. Let's jump into this issue and check it out.

Aquaman / Green Arrow: Deep Target #3 Review
Writer: Brandon Thomas
Artist: Ronan Cliquet, Ulises Arreola, and Josh Reed
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: December 28, 2021

Aquaman / Green Arrow: Deep Target #3 is a make-or-break issue. I am still waiting for that Eureka moment when this mini-series clicks in my brain, and I start enjoying it.  I know we are only three issues in, but that's a lot of real estate for a 7-issue series, and I have no idea what is happening in this book.  Worse than that, though, I didn't enjoy the first two issues one bit.  So, does Aquaman / Green Arrow: Deep Target #3 change everything for me?  Let's find out!

Release Date: December 28, 2021

The Justice League and Checkmate have had to team up to take on their newest threat, which they are deeming Leviathan 2.0. The only thing about that is... it doesn't make much sense because what we got out of that was a bunch of dudes running around in Deathstroke costumes going after Leonardo Lane and in the previous issue we learned that it was all a distraction by the Royal Flush Gang...... who then steal the Fortress of Solitude..... somehow. Let's jump into this issue and see the makeover the Royal Flush Gang have given themselves and in the backup, find out how the Justice League Dark will handle Merlin. Let's check it out.

Robin #9 Review

Grandma's Little Monster

Lazarus Island awaits as we head into the endgame of Mother Soul's scheme. In our previous issue, we saw Damian Wayne take on Connor Hawke for all the marbles, it's just too bad that the marbles equate to a demon that will consume the winner and bring death and despair across the world, starting with all of our fighters in the tournament. In the end, Connor Hawke won the tournament and the demon instantly shoved his hand through his chest. Let's jump into this issue and see if our Boy Wonder has what it takes to stop his grandmother and save the world. Let's check it out.

School continues to be an emotional experience, especially when it's full of future superheroes and or villains, and one of them happens to be Red X. In our previous issue we saw Psimon, the telepathic terror of the Fearsome Five try and take some of the students of the Roy Harper Academy and get them to be his new Fearsome Five, but Red X wasn't having any of this and ended up killing the long time foe of our heroes and in the end, the son of Satan, Nevermore and the mysterious enigma Red X ported away, leaving our heroes dumbfounded at what went down. Let's jump into this issue and see if we get any more clues to who Red X is and maybe find out how Nevermore is destined to destroy the world. Let's check it out.
