Oh no! Batman has been shot with a bullet containing Vile's venom or whatever you want to call it, and now he's infected! How's this going to turn out for the bad guys? I'd assume probably worse than if he wasn't.

And yeah. Roland Worth probably feels that way. Bats goes on a Vile-induced rampage and looks scary aaaaaaffffffffffffff. Like BatCthulhu, green tentacles coming out of his mouth and glowing green eyes. You don't want to mess with BatCthulhu!

BatCthulhu wants to kill Roland Worth, but of course... Batman is still "in there" and using his will to fight against Vile in his head (insert roll eyes smiley). Still, Worth and BatCthulhu go at it. When Batman refuses to throw Worth off a building, he does it anyway... but softens the blow by... getting him with the grappling gun on his arm? Later you find out that he actually survived, which is mentioned later as a surprised The dude falls four stories onto a bunch of crates so there's that, and his arm would probably be separated from his body from the grappling gun? Hey, whatever. Comics. We love 'em!

Huntress is moving along through all the chaos too of the Jury's henchmen, looking for Batman, knowing that he's been infected. Meanwhile, Bats is able to handcuff himself so he does less damage as BatCthulhu. Just as Huntress runs into Vile, BatCthulhu jumps out at her, but instead of ramming into Huntress, he rams into Vile. This causes the parasite to jump out of Vile's mouth, and Huntress shoots the damn thing with an arrow. Vile dies hours later, but Huntress still gets visions of his victims every now and then.

Bits and Pieces

I really can't say enough about the art and its horror elements. This issue is action-packed and also just a fun stand-alone. If you didn't read any of the arcs you'd probably want to read the whole thing. In the end, the wrong villain lived and the wrong villain died. But I'm glad that it was a swift ending to (what feels like) such a long-drawn-out story that left so many things unanswered and I'm looking forward to not having them answered so we can (hopefully) move on.
