Let's jump into another Flash adventure, where previously we saw Wally West consumed by the Speed Force and used as a tool to fix the source of our favorite fast heroes' powers because apparently the Speed Force is hurt and needs someone to Quantum Leap around time to find the breaches and plug them up and while the last issue was about Wally West in the body of a caveman going up against a "Speed Raptor", we saw at the end of that issue that Wally was flung the far future and placed in the body Impulse, where he and Gold Beetle will have to stop a gigantic Dominator. Let's jump into this issue and check it out.

For this time jump romp, we see Wally West coming to terms with his Speed Force mission of trying to fix the breaches of power from different conduits throughout time. While I wasn't sure in the previous issue if the Caveman that Wally possessed was connected to the Speed Force or if he had because Wally was currently inside of him, it comes across here that Wally's specifically jumping into speedsters, who for whatever reason are losing their Speed Force energy and putting it into others and each time that Wally fixes this phenomenon, a bit of Speed Force returns to others speedsters throughout time, essentially Barry Allen for our story purposes.

While this story bit is explained this issue, the story itself seems to take a backseat to the hilarious hijinks of Gold Beetle trying to help Wally West in Bart's body, since she's familiar with both of them at different points in time and totally has the knowledge and a handle on things that are afflicting Wally as far as time goes and seriously just wants to have a good time while Wally continues his scavenger hunt style story throughout time that ultimately doesn't mean anything right now but is still fun to read about for the time being.

All in all, the artwork in this issue was really cool, with two distinctive styles for both future and present timeframes which while it didn't need to happen, was a cool addition to this story. This is a fun issue but going forward I'm going to need something a little bit more than some funny banter between heroes and throwing out some Speed Force nonsense because ultimately, this feels like we're wasting time for something and since everyone is still pretty clueless about what's going on or just throwing out wild ideas about what they think is happening and then just going with it, this scavenger hunt style story is going to get a bit too repetitive fast if it doesn't start having some real meat to it going forward. Hopefully, that's the case and even though I would have liked something more substantial to this issue, it was still a fun read that looked great.

Bits and Pieces:

Wally's pulling a Quantum Leap through time and doing some Speed Force nonsense to save the day. It's funny and looks great and I found myself really enjoying a Gold Beetle and Wally West team up but going forward I'm going to need some more substance to this story than just a random time period in each issue where something Speed Force related needs to happen.

7/10
