Weird Science DC Comics Best Books of the Week 9/22/18

There were a bunch of books that came out this week, but only three made the cut for Best of the Week.  That's the thing, they all can't be winners...

Injustice Vs. Master of the Universe #3

Writer: Tim Seeley
Art Team: Freddie E. Williams II, Jeremy Colwell
Release Date: September 19, 2018
Cover Price: $3.99

What Branden Said: Injustice vs Masters of the Universe in the hands of Seeley continues to be a joy to read through each month, filled with callbacks, nostalgic moments, and tie-ins to a video game universe that gives fans of both properties a lot to chew on.  Throw in a mountain full of twists this issue and we have another winner on our hands coupled with some jaw-dropping art team.

Score: 9.0/10

Teen Titans #22

Writer: Adam Glass
Art: Bernard Chang,
Marcelo Maiolo, and
Deron Bennett
Cover Price: $3.99
On Sale Date: September 19, 2018

What Chris Said: Teen Titans fans rejoice... it's finally safe to come home!

Score: 8.5/10

Justice League #8

Writer: James Tynion IV
Artist: Mikel Janin, Jeromy Cox, and Tom Napolitano
Cover Price: $3.99
Release Date: September 19, 2018

What Jim Said: James Tynion IV gives us another Legion of Doom issue and instead of a cool down, it's a jump start to gaining some overall knowledge and setting things up going forward.  In a series that may have been getting too big for its own good, this issue tightens up the focus and that's a good thing.  We still have mysteries to solve, but the path to those mysteries is a little bit clearer now.

Score: 8.0/10

Alright, that is it!  Next week is a big week with Heroes in Crisis and Justice League Odyssey debuting as well as the next issue of Doomsday Clock hitting the shelves.  So, until then, see you in seven!
