**NON SPOILERS AND SCORE AT THE BOTTOM**

Uh…what the hell is this? A Year of the Villain tie-in or sumpthin’? I musta been napping when this was announced since it also involves the results from a reader poll taken at some point in the past. How about that. I guess we can find out who what characters won that poll and what the hell this comic book is about by reading my review of Harley Quinn’s Villain of the Year #1, right now!

Explain It!

So, uh, looks like Harley Quinn is a villain again? Lex Luthor’s hooded ghost showed up to show her a threat to the Hall of Doom, levied by some forgotten villain. So Harley Quinn throws an award show to trap this guy somehow? Really, this whole issue is good to bring folks up to speed regarding the current status quo for several villains. There’s a lot of nods to current DC Comics continuity, which I now realize I am almost totally ignorant of. Um, so anyway the villain they’re looking for is The Flamingo. The Batman Who Laughs is the one readers voted for as Best of the Worst.

Everything looks okay in this book, but if you’re not reading like eight or more other DC Comics right now, then you will probably be lost. If you’re not following Year of the Villain, you’ll be in the dark, too. But if you love that shit, you were probably already on line to get your copy of this, so good on you.

Bits and Pieces:

This is the character heading a big DC Comics movie in the new year? For Christ’s sakes. You’ll ruin her before the movie’s released.
