DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead #3 follows the Sarge and Easy Company on a coordinated attack to capture Hitler's doctor and destroy the zombie-making lab in one fell swoop.

Is It Good?

Oh, yeah! That's the stuff right there. DC Horror Presents Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead #3 is straight-up gritty American Soldiers versus Nazi Zombies goodness from start to finish. No fuss. No muss.

The plot is as simple as it gets, and in this case, as it should be. The Allies know Hitler's physician and experimental research scientist, Morell, will visit the lab churning out zombie soldiers. The mission? Divide into two teams and capture Morell. Blow the zombies and the lab away.

The plot doesn't need to be complicated because the fun is in the execution. Campbell nails the voices of the Easy Company soldiers perfectly, the snarky quips are amusing, and the battle action is nothing but raw testosterone-laced energy. This is the kind of comic where all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Regarding the art, Risso, and Rossi up their game with snappy, fast-paced, energetic action. The bullets fly, and the brains splatter in every direction, and it's glorious.

Bits and Pieces:

DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead #3 is pure entertainment from start to finish. Campbell nails the personalities of Easy Company's members and the joy they take in kicking Nazi Zombie butt. Risso and Rossi up their game with better visuals and exhilarating action.
