Hex Wives is a clever story using Witches vs Architects war as a fantastic device to showcase the real-life inequalities of men and women. The book finds a nice balance between action, story and just a hint of comedy. This ends up reading more like an episode of Supernatural or Charmed (Original) style series, than the darker tones we’re used to in Vertigo titles.

This is Part 2 of the Blackout story arc. In Part 1 (The Adventures of Superman #484), Mr. Z hypnotized Dr. Emil Hamilton and made him adjust a helmet device he was making for Superman so it would now display Superman's memories and control him. When Superman showed up to try it out, Mr. Z took control of him and they flew off to the Fortress of Solitude. Lois Lane arrived at Hamilton's lab and broke him out of his hypnosis, and Hamilton used his computer connection to the helmet to let Superman take control of himself again. But, with Metropolis already in an energy crisis, he used too much power from the city's main power grid. It caused a complete blackout in Metropolis while Superman and Mr. Z received an immense power serge from the helmet and crashed to the ground, where they both lie unconscious.

The thing about Bryan Hill and Leandro Fernandez's story about a white-passing psychologically damaged FBI agent infiltrating a white supremacist organization is that the reader already knows the broad trajectory of where that story is going. In detective shows and movies from True Detective to BlacKkKlansman, there's an inherent tension for the viewer in wanting to know whether the charade will be effective and just how far the character concerned is prepared to go in order to maintain it. This is certainly the case with American Carnage. Undercover FBI agent Richard Wright's attempts to infiltrate Wynn Morgan's supremacist organization have so far been both straightforward and successful, but we know that they're not going to stay that way. How does he get on in the series' second issue?

Titans has been on an upswing. After being completely dominated by other books and storylines that aren’t even taking place in this book’s pages. However, since we got a little character development and got back to the original storyline, I’ve enjoyed this book. This book has really struggled since the new team was formed but I am finally excited to read another issue. We left our team as they were finally going to go to Unearth and fight the Blood Cult and I’m excited for what is on the horizon. Let’s just jump right into this issue and see where it takes us.

Gang we are just a few weeks shy of a calendar year since we've started this dark and twisted journey.  I'm afraid I'll never be able to look at comic books the same way again.

But... the good news (for me, anyway) is that it's almost over!  Keeping in mind if next issue ends with a cryptic "To be Continued...", I might need consoling.  Let's hope it doesn't come to that... but I've got this sneaking suspicion that it might.

Our journey into the future of Gotham continues as we see what the Joker is all about thirty-five years from now.  It's weird though because we've had the Joker out and about since this series restarted and for some reason, it seems like maybe the Joker has Alzheimer's or something because it's taken him a long ass time to think about just killing the "Jokerz" for ripping off his brand and in turn, making Gotham the way it was when he was in his heyday, which this issue is all about.  Let's jump into this review and see if the characters are acting the way they should after having a Wayne Family Center of Tomorrow........ essentially, a giant-ass tower destroyed, killing thousands in the process.  Let's check it out.
