Ground Zero

Infinite Crisis has slowly become a book that is not only good, but one I look forward to reading every week.  This book is one that needs crazy characters and Worlds and that's just what Dan Abnett is giving us.  He's also giving us destruction, as in the elimination of an entire Universe.   Last week ended with the Monitor sending Team Batman to Earth-17 and their arrival starts this issue.

Funny thing, Earth-17.  It's Atomic Wonder Woman's home, it's been ravaged by an atomic war and it is the hangout of one "The Two-Face".  Yes, the team has hit ground zero in the fight for the Multiverse.  What follows is a great bit of team building on both sides.  Batman tries to rally the troops while The Two-Face gathers an army.  While I don't like the continuation of Batman relying on others for a plan, I really like what The Two-Face has in store.  Enter another awesome character into the fray.

I wasn't expecting both sides to battle this quick in the series, but our heroes face off with the enemy and it's pretty cool, but not as cool as where it takes place.  While the battle rages on we get to see true heroes at work...and one coward turning heel.  The book ends with said coward coming face-to-face with the new badass in town.

This issue may not have had the character moments of the last issue, but the fast paced action was good.  We get another villain that is familiar, yet atomic and pretty damn awesome.  I was shocked that the big throw down started so soon, so I am really intrigued with what Dan Abnett has in store.

This book looked awesome again thanks to Javier Garron.  The character designs are detailed and a bit cartoony which nails the atmosphere of the story.  The last page is brutally awesome.

Bits and Pieces:

Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse #7 is another good issue in the series.  Dan Abnett gives us a fast paced script that's exciting and fun while Javier Garron's art is great.  While I hope we get some more character work so I get to know these alt characters, I'll take a good fight any day.

8.0/10
