Reviewing this shit show of a comic is not what I want to be doing during the week before Christmas weekend but I’m Grinch McScrooge right now and I love to torture myself with shit comics. I’m not reading a lot of DC Comics that isn’t Rebirth right now, but I gotta say, this has to be the worst DC comic right now. With that said here is “Black Hearts Part 2.” Merry Fucking Christmas.

Explain it:
Hey, guess what, it’s raining! In both future Harley explaining the story’s time and in the actual story. What a parallel! Yet again, she’s talking to the shadow figure that we have no idea who it is or why they’re there. Maybe by chapter 100 we’ll know! Guess what again, more fighting! Yay! Sorry, I’m so sarcastic right now, it’s the only way I can have any fucking fun with this story. Anyway, Shazam is here and he fights Black Adam. The end. End of review.

Nah, just kidding. We then cut to Batman and the heroes in his cave and they finally get to the damn weapon they all need to beat Superman. To unlock the weapon from the containment old for it, they go all Power Rangers Turbo on us and place their hands into a device that looks strikingly similar to Turbo where the Rangers get their powers from that I couldn't help but think they ripped it off. It's five heroes with almost the same colors, come on! It’s kinda awesome, cheesy and a rip off all at the same time. I love it.

Shazam beats the shit out of Black Adam and he wins, of course. The art throughout this whole fight is really fucking awesome though. Sampere captures the electrical feel of Shazam and Black Adam perfectly and the bolts glow right off the page. Harley is in love with him now since he saved her life because, you know, she’s crazy. She tries to convince him to join his side in the battle but he really can’t leave because, even though he totally doesn’t agree with Supes, he’s there to point him in the right direction and keep him in check. Which I can totally understand but Harley has a hard time but eventually accepts it because this world needs a true hero.

We cut to Adam’s beaten body lying in the rain and Regime Wonder Woman is very disappointed in him and flies him off with her to break into the Batcave and confront our heroes. That’s where it ends and you notice that this review is much shorter than the last. That’s because it’s mostly the fight and I won’t waste your time telegraphing the fight. It’s ridiculous when these chapters are 90% fights because it’s hard to really say anything about them other than how stupid the Harley parts are. I really want the Batman and Friends story front and center because with Harley’s bullshit his story isn’t getting anywhere.

Bits and Pieces:

This chapter is a bit better than last issue. The fight with Shazam and Black Adam is actually really awesome, the first fun fight of the run. The art for the fight is almost totally worth the cover price alone. This, however, doesn’t save the chapter from getting a pass because, again, it’s still all fighting and we’re hardly getting anywhere now. The story with Batman and Friends is progressing at such a slow pace because it’s placed on the Batmobile's back burner. I want this comic to be that, not this Harley story, if you can even call it that.

5/10
