Grayson #3 Preview

Written by: Tom King
Art by Mikel Janin
Cover Price: $2.99
Release Date: October 1, 2014

A secret mission. A partner in danger. Dick Grayson draws his gun. Will the heir to Batman pull the trigger? Also featuring the stunning, not to be missed debut of a new key player in the DC Universe: the world’s greatest spy, the Tiger.

If I wasn't such a huge Dick Grayson fan, I may not give this book many more issues, but I am so I will.  It's not that it's a bad book, I just want Nightwing back.  I've heard some people complain that Grayson is DC's attempt at turning Dick into Nick Fury (Dick Fury, he he) and this cover isn't going to convince them otherwise.  It looks a lot like a Steranko cover of Nick Fury Agent of Shield (Here). I hope this is the issue that grabs me in that special place and doesn't let go until I say the safe word.  Enjoy the preview.

  2. Dick Fury DAMN wish I'd thought of that on the podcast!!!! As far as G-Man goes as I've said elsewhere I'm out this book is just not what I want from the character.

    1. Yea, I know you hate it. I get the task of reading and reviewing it, so I've got to stick with it...but I don't have to like it. I really hope it turns into something better, but I really have my doubts.

  3. I'm a huge Nightwing fan and really am enjoying this Grayson Series. No more saddened Crossovers with the Batfamily and he didn't really hang with anyone outside the Batfolk. It's refreshing seeing Richard doing better. Though I miss Nightwing I'm gonna enjoy Grayson for what it is. Besides he has a greater mission of trying to protect the identities of the DC universes heroes, right?

    1. Even though I don't review this book, which usually means I don't read a book, I'm happy as hell that someone is finally optimistic about something. I'm a Negative Nancy myself and hate to push my love of things out of the way for new ideas, but with your optimism on this series I'll really put an effort into reading it...... Eventually. This all sounds awful, but again, I'm happy that someone is enjoying this series.

    2. I'm a huge Nightwing fan as well and I think I'm just bitter with how Kyle Higgins and Nigtwing got screwed over. Like I said, I hope this becomes something special and protecting the identities of the DC heroes is pretty admirable. Also, love the "Richard" instead of "Dick"!
