DC Comics Announces Wonder Woman '77 Digital Title

With the success of Batman '66, it is no surprise that DC Comics is going back to the retro well with Wonder Woman '77.  Inspired by the Lynda Carter television show, the book will be written by  Marc Andreyko with covers by Nicola Scott.  No regular artists have been announced, but I'm sure it will be a revolving door gig like Batman '66.  Here is the official announcement:

On the heels of the SENSATION COMICS FEATURING WONDER WOMAN launch will be WONDER WOMAN ’77, a new series based on the popular 1970s television show starring Lynda Carter. The series will be written by Marc Andreyko with several covers drawn by Nicola Scott. Additional artists for the project will be named in the coming weeks. WONDER WOMAN ’77 will debut digitally in December with six consecutive weekly chapters. These will be collected in two print issues to be released early in 2015. The series will then resume in the spring and appear periodically throughout the year.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty pumped.  With Sensation Comics and now this, it seems that it's a good time to be a Wonder Woman fan.  This also fits into the plan that there will be a digital title for each day of the week.  My guess is that this will replace Batman Beyond 2.0 as a Saturday release, but DC might shuffle up the schedule when this comes out.  No matter what day it comes out, I'll be reading and reviewing it!
