Just For The Hell Of It Mondays: Saturday Morning Watchmen

There was something special about being a kid in the 80's.  A pre-interwebs world where you had to mail away for catalogs to get the merchandise you wanted from any media you enjoyed.  Where Nintendo ruled the minds of every child and yet we still spent the majority of our time playing outside.  Street lights turning on meant it was time to go home and you always carried spare change to make an emergency phone call.

It was a strange world that we'll never see again, but the one thing that is most memorable as being apart of the 80's and being a kid was the Saturday Morning Cartoons.  between 7-12 in the morning you had your choices between four channels to create your own block of cartoon marathoning.  Since I'm a man-child it's no surprise that I still love cartoons today, but they're mostly the ones I grew up with and the only ones I feel really hold up watching as an adult.  It's probably the nostalgia factor at play here, but all Loony Tunes and Tom and Jerry are gold.  I know these weren't made when I was a child, but they were still the cartoons that we watched and loved that seem to have disappeared now and when you can find them they are horribly edited for content.  I seem to be going off on a rant now so I'll just tell you that I loved Saturday Morning Cartoons and I'm shocked that I haven't thrown this video up here since I started Just For The Hell Of It Mondays.  It's one of my favorite videos on Youtube and with my love of cartoons and DC Comics it's seems like a no brainer.  So for those of you who haven't seen it yet and for those of you who have, enjoy Saturday Morning Watchmen
