*Non Spoilers and Score At The Bottom*

After our False Face killer went and set our hero up for attempted murder.......... Well, it seems that the entire police force is out and about and looking for Nightwing.  Thankfully, with our cliffhanger showing Detective Svoboda entering the scene, it looks like our hero will have a little police support after all........ and well, DeFacer, but since she seems to only use spray paint, I don't know how much help she'll actually be.  Let's jump into this issue and see how our Bludhaven arc ends and what the future will hold for Dick Grayson in this city.  Let's check it out.

Explain It!:

Our issue begins with the police searching for Nightwing, but him getting past them by holding on underneath of Detective Svoboda's car as they make their way to Jim Nice's secret lair, which our heroes know about because before she was arrested, DeFacer saw some accounting information that didn't make sense to her, but pointed to a certain location.  Once there, our heroes enter, while the Detective smokes her cigar outside, planning on taking on the credit for the bust and even though she comes off as a real son of a bitch here, I can't help but like Svoboda for being a real as she is about her intentions.

Inside Nice's warehouse, we find out that Cherry Annabel, the woman in charge of tourism in Bludhaven was actually helping Mayor Madrigal with his weapon smuggling ring and then gave him up to Jim Nice as a way of trying to make up for her involvement.......... Too bad that Jim Nice sees this as her being guilty of a crime and plans on murdering her too.......... Yeah, shit's all crazy here as we try to wrap things up real fast, but ultimately, Cherry gets away and Nightwing faces off against Jim Nice, who in my mind whoops our hero's ass too easily, super suit and super weapons or not.

In the end, Jim Nice teleports him and Nightwing to where he said he killed his wife so that he can show him where he became a monster........ which turns out to be right where Detective Svoboda turns out to be and Jim Nice is taken down when the Detective fires a shot off at his energy baton, causing a mirror he was holding to explode in his face.......... That's it.  Our issue closes with Dick Grayson taking over Shawn Tsang's Run-Off support group now that her being accused of murder looks bad on her resume, but it looks like she's not going to stay gone because we close this issue out with her telling Dick that she knows he's Nightwing and the two making out............... Well, we close out with that and a hell of a cliffhanger of seeing Nightwing swing around the city and it looks like he's being watched by another version of himself.

That's it for this issue of Nightwing and everything seemed pretty damn forced to get us to a conclusion with this.  Cherry Annabel had to come back in here out of nowhere with a strange tie-in to the mystery about her energy drinks she enjoys and really, it all just felt like it came out of nowhere or at best, had a flimsy connection to something we might have seen once before, but even with that, it wasn't too interesting.  The art in this issue is as good as it's been this entire arc and I really hope that Marcus To continues on this book because I like what we get from him, but ultimately, I found this conclusion very lackluster for all the buildup we had to it.

Bits and Pieces:

We get the conclusion to the Bludhaven arc with this issue and I have to say that for all the buildup we got, this came off really forced and not very interesting by the end.  Yeah, there's some decent moments and we got a pretty cool cliffhanger with excellent art the whole way through, but ultimately it was a bit disappointed.

6/10
