It looks like Superman is in desperate need for a PR agent.  I guess it is all his fault...you know, being a total dick who murders anyone who looks at him sideways.  Still, if he wants to keep being the BMOC then he better get some feel good stories out there about himself and the Regime for Joe Lunchpail to latch on to.  Of course, it doesn't look like any of that will be happening and as we head towards the end, Superman is just falling deeper into the shit hole he dug for himself.  I don't mind because I hate him so much, but does it make for a good issue?  Let's find out...

The chapter opens with the Regime tending to a poisoned Superman while Hawkgirl gives some not so sensitive final words about Hawkman.  I don't blame her, however, because Katar was a real asshole.  The real issue is what Batman is doing with Cyborg and to find that out, Wonder Woman sends out the troops.

While the search is on, the reader gets to see exactly what's up...Team Batman is underneath a radiated Metropolis working on Cyborg.  The best part are the kick ass containment suits that Batman, Batgirl and Batwoman are wearing.

Of course, Batman is looking for footage of Superman at his worst and Superman knows it.  While he can hardly talk, he tells Wonder Woman to call Lex and mumbles about Batman finding something. Something, huh?!?

While Wonder Woman waits for Lex Luthor to show up to make Superman all good, Flash pays him a quick visit.  It's a scene that is just as important because of what isn't said, but Lex does let Barry know that he may not be the biggest Superman supporter afterall.

That's when Batgirl gets the goods on Superman.  There is video showing him straight up murdering the Joker Club in Gotham.  Gotcha Superman!!!  The issue ends with Batwoman about to show the world the real Superman and I can't wait to see the reaction.

Brian Buccellato gives fans a big issue where Batman finally gets the goods on Superman.  However, I actually liked the parts with Lex even more.  It may just be because I am a huge fan of this Lex, but it's also because as Superman's world is crumbling down, I can only imagine Lex finding a spot to slip away to and laugh his ass off.

Tom Derenick starts things off a bit more pencil heavy than usual, but he quickly gets back to his usual style and everything looked great.  There wasn't a ton of action so he concentrates on the characters and Team Batman in the containment suits was easily the best looking panels this week.

Bits and Pieces:

Batman finally catches Superman red handed and the issue ends with the public about to learn the truth.  In the meantime, Lex Luthor continues being awesome and while the issue was pretty much all setup, it looked really good and pushed the story forward.  Not the best issue, but far from the worst.

7.5/10
